Publicity Stunt

I guess it's taken me a long time to figure out that LiveJournal isn't really where it's at. You add people to your friends list and then feel like you kind of have to cater to their tastes when posting. I'm not a good cook.

Tonight I've got too much to do and too little time to do it. Thursday and Friday are always full of waiting around for the weekend, and MTW catching up on what I missed while I was out of commission. All of the classes I have this semester that are not titled "Environmental Microbiology" are pretty ... er ... dry.

My 2 year ex took me off his facebook friends list because his girlfriend has an oddly shaped object shoved somewhere it hurts. It's taken this long for life to get across to me: Dating assholes is always a very very bad idea. It's bad at the time and it's worse after. This revelation is conveniently placed, as I'm now spending night and day with one of the kindest people I've met walking around on this dot. Go life, go.

Tonight we start winter carnival games - 9 o'clock broomball. I'm hoping I don't completely obliterate another broom (last winter I wasted two in a row :\) 'cause we're having a hard time collecting them from people. Ken's whole house, Amber and Eric, Julie and Tony and I are all on-board.

I'm freaked out about not yet having a job for this summer. It's moderately early but I think I've pigeon-holed myself out of consulting and into surface water research, which doesn't come with many jobs, or more-so, jobs with pay. In the grand scope of this environmental engineering thing it really is the best place for me, but I don't want employers to know that. It'd be nice to work for a living some day. I've applied to jobs left and right and haven't heard a lot back, but it might be because people aren't yet making final decisions on interviews. Who knows.
